Other ways to support us

Gift Aid

If you pay UK Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax in a tax year that will exceed the amount of tax that all the charities that you support will reclaim on your gifts for that tax year, please sign a Gift Aid declaration, so that the NOA can reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that you donate. You will find a Gift Aid declaration here , or ask us to send you one.

If you donate through the BT MyDonate facility, please ensure that you also complete the Gift Aid declaration on their website.

Everyclick and Give As You Live

You can help the NOA’s fundraising effort by doing your web searches at www.everyclick.com/noa. You don’t have to sign up to Everyclick; simply searching via that page will gradually add to the total collected. However, if you sign up with Everyclick, you will then be able to see the amount that your own searches contribute to the NOA.

If you use online shopping, you may also be interested in the Give as you Live scheme , which pays a small commission to your chosen charity. Participants in the scheme vary from time to time, and include major retailers, travel companies, hotel chains – the list is seemingly endless. To ensure that the commission on your purchases comes to the NOA, you will need to sign up to Everyclick (or direct with Give as you Live) if you haven’t already done so, and then log in. If invited to choose a cause, you can locate us by searching on “NOA”. A current example of offerings from the Give as you Live scheme is Give as you Switch, where switching your power supplier would raise a donation for the NOA of £17 for dual fuel, or £8.50 for single fuel switch.

Used stamps wanted

Please save any used stamps you may have, as we can use them to generate funds to support our work. Where feasible, please leave a margin of about a centimetre around the stamp when cutting it from the envelope. If you have stamps, either drop them into the Obs or pop them in the post. If you are posting them, please check postage rates before sending (bearing in mind both weight and the dimensions of the package), as incorrect postage can cost more in additional postage plus admin charges than the value of the enclosed stamps, as well as incurring a special journey to Hunstanton Delivery Office to collect the package !

There are various items you could buy for yourself or as gifts for friends and family:

The NOA’s excellent video DVD, Holme Bird Observatory – A Year, £9.99 per copy (inc P&P.)

Gift membership of the NOA 200 Club lottery, £24 per share, giving entry to the next four quarterly draws and a chance to win a top prize of up to £250 in each draw (to comply with gambling legislation, both donor and recipient must be at least 16 years of age).

Gift membership of the NOA - no age restrictions! Contact the Observatory to arrange this.

NOA clothing: We have a range of fleeces, hoodies, sweatshirts, polo shirts, warm hats and peaked caps at very reasonable prices. They come in navy blue as standard, but it would be possible to order some items in other colours. As we can only carry a limited stock of items and sizes, some standard items might need to be ordered, so get in touch if you’re interested in any NOA clothing.
